Perform alterations, resizing, and restyling on merchandise sold in the store. Support fitters by assessing garment fit, alterability, and structural quality while meeting established workmanship standards.
Responsibilities- Alter constructed garments, including adjusting seams, shoulders, sleeves, coats, collars, and pockets.
- Operate and maintain sewing equipment.
- Inspect completed alterations to ensure quality standards are met.
- Complete assigned work and follow instructions from the supervisor, lead, or manager.
- Experience in a tailoring operation or industrial sewing environment is preferred.
- Exposure to a variety of garment styles and fabrics is preferred.
- Ability to read English, understand instructions, and perform basic arithmetic.
