Overview

The Florida Panthers enter the 2025-26 season as two-time Stanley Cup Champions, with recent appearances in the Stanley Cup Final in each of the past three seasons. The Panthers are the southernmost NHL team and have reached the postseason in a club-record six consecutive years. The organization operates four facilities in Broward County, Florida:
Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, the Panthers Ice Den in Coral Springs, the Baptist Health Ice Plex in Fort Lauderdale, and the War Memorial Auditorium, which hosts concerts and events for South Florida.

The League Convener position is a part-time staff role within the Panthers Ice Den Hockey Department. The Convener serves as a liaison between league administration and participants to assist the Hockey Dept. in achieving its goals for the Panthers Adult Hockey League (PAHL) and other leagues as assigned. Leagues emphasize development, sportsmanship, mutual respect, fair play, and parity for all players.

• Ensure official and scorekeeper coverage for all scheduled games.
• Monitor sign-in to ensure teams have goalies and enough players to avoid forfeits.
• Cross reference scoring with officials and schedules to ensure accuracy of game times.
• Provide notification or clarification regarding league rules, building programs or protocol; answer questions.
• Observe games to assess parity, skill level, and competitiveness; report findings to league administration.
• Collect and file game sheets and sign-in sheets; submit sheets online as needed.
• Coordinate with building staff, teams and officials to keep games on time, manage locker room logistics, and maintain a safe environment.
• Distribute league materials as needed.
• Assist hockey customers and deliver a quality hockey experience.
• Notify league administration of any issues and oversee league activities.
• Other duties as assigned to meet program needs.

• Check in arriving adult league players, manage sign-in, verify  registration, and direct players to appropriate locker rooms and rinks.
• Distribute scorekeeper tablets used for scoring.
• Monitor sign-in to ensure roster integrity and prevent non-roster play after rosters are locked.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• General knowledge of hockey.
• Excellent customer service skills as an initial point of contact.

This is a Part-Time (hourly) position. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
