This externship is designed for 3rd and 4th year veterinary students enrolled in a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program. The program is typically scheduled in 2-week blocks at our hospital. We believe students with an open mind and a willingness to learn will benefit most from the externship.
ResponsibilitiesThe Veterinary Student Extern is responsible for performing inpatient and outpatient medical care under the direct supervision of our veterinary staff. They will be expected to perform in-house diagnostic tests (hematology, chemistry, and radiology) with competence, deliver routine client education, and assist in surgical procedures.

Currently enrolled in an AVMA-accredited Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Program
