Water Damage Restoration Technician

Technician: Restoration (Entry Level - Contractor)
Location: Fort Lauderdale
Package: $45,000 - $49,000/year + Annual Bonuses.

Do you have experience as a general contractor? Are you looking to start a career in restoration? We are seeking 4 entry-level restoration techs for our Fort Lauderdale location. You must be able to lift a minimum of 40lbs. Cleaning and prior restoration experience are preferred. High school diploma/GED required. A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities of a Restoration Technician:

• Removing mold and repairing any water damage caused by water.
• Removing and replacing damaged materials, such as wallboards, carpets, and lumbar support.
• Identifying what can be salvaged from damaged properties.
• Using the right equipment and wearing appropriate protective gear to maintain personal safety standards.
• Preserving structural features that can be saved by sanitizing them.
• Conducting customer service, explaining job specifications and invoices, and responding to complaints.
• The cleaning and storage of damaged properties until they can be returned to the owner.

Requirements for Restoration Technicians:

• Having the ability to read blueprints.
• An excellent understanding of power tools and hand tools.
• Being physically fit.
• GED or high school diploma.
• Interpersonal skills, listening skills, and strong communication skills.
• A good understanding of math.
