Superintendent I and II - Construction

Overview

Mortenson is seeking a Superintendent I or II to coordinate, plan, and supervise construction activities on behalf of assistant superintendents, contractors, and craft crews. The role develops relationships with clients and provides excellent service.

• Plan and implement project schedule, materials, equipment, and inspections.
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability.
• Develop and manage project schedule and site logistics plan.
• Coach, supervise, and develop team members and conduct orientation and planning sessions.
• Ensure proper task coding, track work progress, and conduct career development discussions.
• Build effective relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• Lead by example, provide coaching and feedback, and manage performance.
• Provide high-level management of safety, quality, risk, and compliance, seeking process improvements.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or 10+ years of trade experience.
• Current driver’s license.
• Ability to manage development to closeout responsibilities for multiple complex projects.
• Detail-oriented, able to organize and manage multiple tasks.
• Basic understanding of construction law and business practices.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
• Positive, professional attitude and strong customer service skills.
• Strong communication and active listening skills, openness to diverse input and feedback.

• Superintendent I – Base pay range $111,400 – $167,100.
• Superintendent II – Base pay range $130,100 – $195,200.
