Mortenson is seeking a Superintendent responsible for coordinating, planning, and supervising assistant superintendents, contractors, and craft activities in a specific discipline area. The role focuses on developing and enhancing customer relationships through excellent service.

• Plan and implement to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support project schedule.
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability, understand contract documents, and coordinate plans with design engineers.
• Develop and manage project schedule and site logistics plan, utilize tools and equipment, and collaborate with partner superintendents.
• Coach, supervise, and develop team members; conduct orientations, planning sessions, site meetings, interview/hire/transfer/dismiss team members.
• Ensure proper task coding, lead and track work progress, and handle team member training.
• Build effective relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• Lead by example, offer coaching and feedback, and manage performance.
• Provide high‑level management of safety, quality, risk, and compliance; recognize and mitigate unfavorable conditions; seek process improvements.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
• OR 10 years of trade experience.
• Current driver’s license.
• Ability to fulfill development to close‑out responsibilities for multiple, complex projects.
• Detail‑oriented, able to organize and manage multiple project tasks.
• Basic understanding of construction law and business practices.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
• Positive professional attitude and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to interpret and communicate company policies.
• Effective communication and active listening skills, openness to diverse input and feedback.

• Superintendent I – Minimum 5 years construction management or related experience; base pay range $111,400 – $167,100.
• Superintendent II – Minimum 8 years construction management or related experience; base pay range $130,100 – $195,200.
• Actual ranges are higher for the following office locations:
  Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%;
  Seattle, WA and Portland, OR – 10%;
  Washington, D.C. – 12.5%.

This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
