This role will be performed ONSITE in our Collins Aerospace location in Coralville, IA. This is a 2nd shift role that will work 3pm- 12am.
What You Will Do- Manage small projects or processes within area of responsibility. Works autonomously with limited oversight. May provide input or guidance to lower-level professionals with tasks and assignments
- Works to influence parties within and outside of work area at an operational level regarding policies, practices, and procedures
- Establishes the physical layout of machinery and the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow
- Plans the sequence of operations and procedures and documents manufacturing standard work and routings
- Plans the allocation of resources, materials, and personnel to establish maximum utilization of equipment
- Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems
- Perform defect and failure analysis
- Lead improvements in process yield, quality, cycle time, inventory accuracy and delivery
- Report all manufacturing and/or quality problems with parts, equipment, etc. to the Process support and quality team
- Provides technical assistance and training support to floor and technicians.
- Work with design engineering in developing new products that are optimized for the manufacturing process
- Provides technical interpretation of drawings and specifications
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
