Our dedicated team provides customized, individualized rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from a stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury. We strive to maximize the health, function, and quality of life of those we serve through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs.

How You’ll Contribute
  • As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care to patients in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
  • Prioritizes and organizes delivery of patient care under the supervision and delegation of an RN; accepting a variety of assignments and consulting with other disciplines as appropriate.
  • Assists in staff development activities.
  • Orients, instructs and trains others, emphasizing departmental, as well as interdepartmental cooperation and teamwork.
  • Demonstrates sensitivity to patients’ comfort and privacy and expresses interest in their progress and aids patients and families as needed in times of stress or crisis.
  • Under the direction of an RN, contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
  • Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
  • May administer medication as directed by the Physician and RN.
  • Documents patient care given.
  • Assists RN with development of plan of care.
  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Monitors, documents, and communicates patient’s status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.

What We’re Looking For
  • Graduate of an accredited LPN program
  • Current Iowa LPN License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
  • LPN and Rehab Experience preferred
