** Baptist Health Corbin Emergency Department (ED) is a Level IV Trauma Designated unit with 28 beds that provides comprehensive, around-the-clock care to patients of all ages. The department treats a wide range of conditions, from non-emergent complaints to life-threatening illnesses and injuries. A dedicated split-flow area supports efficient evaluation and treatment of fast-track patients with lower acuity needs. Additionally, the ED includes a behavioral health intake area designed to safely assess and manage patients presenting mental health and behavioral health concerns.  

The Registered Nurse provides compassionate, evidence-based nursing care through assessment, treatment, care coordination, patient and family education, and individualized care planning while supporting admissions, transfers, and discharges.

* As a clinical nurse, this individual spends majority of his/her time (> 50%) coordinating, ensuring and providing direct patient care activities on the unit through: provision of nursing rounds, assessments and treatments; facilitating admission, transfer and discharge activities; provision of patient and family-centered education; care coordination and individualized treatment planning as applicable, etc.
** Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures

Required:

* * Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
* Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
* Basic life support
- Applicants will have 30 days from their hired date to provide completion of this certification if they don’t have it already.
* ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of Assignment.
