Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Transport Administrator to join our operational logistics team in Corby. Operating during peak afternoon and late-evening operational windows, you will play a critical role in keeping our hub running efficiently. You will serve as the administrative backbone during the late shift managing data entry, processing driver and delivery documentation, supporting operational workflows, and ensuring smooth communication across teams.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Administration:
Prepare, process, and reconcile dispatch documentation, driver manifests, and proof-of-delivery records.
Data Management:
Accurately update and maintain transport management systems, warehouse management databases, and internal spreadsheets in real time.
Handover Support:
Manage the daily operational transition between the day and night shifts, ensuring accurate reporting and clear communication of pending tasks.
Communication & Support:
Serve as the main administrative point of contact during evening hours for internal drivers, warehouse staff, and central management.
Issue Resolution:
Flag and track operational discrepancies, delivery exceptions, or documentation errors promptly to support smooth dispatch cycles.
General Office Duties:
Handle inbound evening queries via phone and email, file documentation, and maintain organised digital and physical records.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience:
Previous experience in an administrative role (experience within logistics, warehousing, or transport operations is a strong advantage).
Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to quickly adapt to specialised inventory or transport systems.
Accuracy:
High level of attention to detail and accurate data entry skills, especially while working under time-sensitive deadlines.
Self-Motivation:
Ability to work autonomously and manage your time effectively during late-shift hours when senior management may be off-site.
Communication:
Clear verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
Flexibility:
Comfortable working the fixed 14:00–22:00 schedule on a consistent basis.
