We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Car Painter (Automotive) to join our dynamic team in Corby. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to vehicles, ensuring a high-quality, smooth, and flawless appearance. Duties
Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
Mix paints, primers, and coatings accurately according to specifications for consistent color matching
Apply paint using spray guns, brushes, or rollers with precision and attention to detail
Inspect finished work for imperfections such as runs, drips, or uneven coverage; perform touch-ups as needed
Use hand tools and power tools to remove old paint or repair surface imperfections before painting
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency throughout each project
Requirements
Proven mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and painting techniques

Experience with hand tools such as sanders, scrapers, brushes, and masking equipment
Proficiency with power tools used in surface preparation and finishing tasks
Strong attention to detail with a focus on achieving high-quality finishes
Excellent manual dexterity and steady hand-eye coordination
Prior experience working in an automotive body shop or similar environment is preferred but not mandatory
Full valid UK driving licence with the ability to drive automatic and manual cars (subject to discuss)
For the insurance purpose you need to be over 21 years old and hold a driving licence for minimum 2 years (essential) (subject to discuss)
Shift
Monday to Friday 2pm - 10pm(1 hr lunch break)
Pay
£20.24 per hour
Other Information
Car Painter Technicians will be required to complete a skill test, normally lasting 2-4 hours.
