The school has a welcoming, family feel where every member of staff plays a vital role in helping pupils succeed.

They are now looking to appoint Learning Support Assistants / SEN Teaching Assistants to join their established and successful team, with an immediate start available. Previous experience working with SEN or SEMH pupils is highly desirable.

The role will involve:

Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, under the guidance of the class teacher or form tutor

Helping pupils to access learning while supporting positive behaviour

Promoting safeguarding, welfare and the wellbeing of all pupils

Supervising and supporting pupils to ensure their safety and engagement in learning activities

Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils and acting as a strong role model

Encouraging inclusion and helping pupils feel valued and accepted in the classroom

Responding to individual needs with consistency, patience and understanding

Using positive reinforcement and celebrating progress and achievements

Being directly involved in behaviour management processes, including Team Teach and the supervised withdrawal of pupils when required, to ensure the safety of both pupils and staff
