Our established engineering client designs and manufactures bespoke products for a wide range of industries, including medical and automotive. They are looking for a practical, hands‑on engineer to support and improve their manufacturing operation.

This is a varied role for someone who enjoys solving real engineering problems and working across machinery, fabrication, tooling, process equipment and factory improvements.

The role would suit an experienced engineer who is mechanically strong, practically minded, and comfortable turning ideas into working solutions.

Commutable from Northampton, Kettering, Daventry, Peterborough and surrounding areas.

• Fault-finding and improving production machinery
• Working on pumps, motors, drives, pneumatics and mechanical systems
• Fabrication, welding and modification work
• Building jigs, frames, supports and practical production tooling
• Working with mould tools and mixing/process systems
• Supporting machinery upgrades and factory improvements
• Diagnosing electrical faults and carrying out practical electrical work where required
• Solving recurring production problems with permanent fixes

• Manufacturing/plant/factory engineering
• Fabrication and welding
• Mechanical fault diagnosis
• Pumps, pneumatics and drive systems
• Electrical fault-finding and basic 3-phase practical work
• Practical workshop engineering
• Tooling/fixture design or modification
• General machine improvement and problem-solving

• Mon-Fri - Days - Early Finish Fridays
• Salary depending on skills and experience

• Holiday package (23 days plus Bank Holidays), increasing after 5 years of service
