Owen Daniels are supporting a leading aerospace manufacturer supplying precision-engineered components to major global OEMs, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing engineering team focussing on NPI.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and technically minded Manufacturing Engineer to work within a highly regulated aerospace environment, supporting both new product introduction and continuous improvement activities across production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimise manufacturing processes for aerospace components and assemblies
  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, process flows, and PFMEAs
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from concept through to production
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, cost reduction, and efficiency
  • Liaise closely with design, quality, production, and supply chain teams
  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing and process-related issues
  • Support lean manufacturing and root cause analysis activities
  • Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with aerospace quality standards and customer requirements

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience within a Manufacturing Engineer position in the aerospace sector
  • Strong knowledge of machining, assembly, or fabrication processes
  • Experience working within AS9100 or similarly regulated environments
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Experience with process validation, tooling, and production support
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • HNC/HND or Degree qualified in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering preferred
