This well‑established and growing engineering company specialises in the design and manufacture of bespoke mechanical solutions within the industrial machinery and automation sector. Due to continued success, we are looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to play a key role in the full product development lifecycle. You will work on a range of varied and technically interesting projects, enjoying autonomy, recognition, and the opportunity to make a real impact within a forward‑thinking and supportive business.
YourRole as a Mechanical Design Engineer
- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for the industrial machinery and automation sector
- Produce 3D CAD models and detailed manufacturing drawings
- Work closely with manufacturing, production, and project teams
- Support product development, testing, and continuous improvement activities
- Office‑based role in Corby
- Experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, Design Engineer, Product Design Engineer, or similar
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software (Solid Works or similar)
- Good understanding of hygienic design
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical principles
- Experience producing engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Live commutable to Corby or willing to relocate
