Maintenance Engineer

Corby, Northamptonshire
£47,000 £ 52,000 (OTE £60,000)
4 on / 4 off (Days & Nights Rotation)
Full-Time Permanent

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Fault Finding

  • Carry out electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis and repairs across automated systems

  • Maintain conveyors, automated storage systems, motors, sensors, control panels and packaging equipment

  • Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to reduce downtime

Projects & Continuous Improvement

  • Support equipment installations and commissioning

  • Assist with machinery upgrades and site expansion projects

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and efficiency

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow site health & safety procedures at all times

  • Maintain accurate engineering records and documentation

Team Support

  • Work closely with production teams and engineering colleagues

  • Provide technical support during breakdowns and operational challenges

About You
  • Minimum 3 years experience within a manufacturing, food production, cold storage, or automated environment

  • Multi-skilled engineer, ideally with strong electrical bias

  • Experience with 3-phase systems, PLC-controlled equipment and automation preferred

  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

  • Able to work safely at height when required
