Your role as a Transport OperatorLocation:
New Cold Corby, Curver Way, NN17 5XN
.
Shift Pattern:
Nights, 4on 4 off (18:30 to 06:30).
Salary: £30,750.00 per year.

- 5+ GCSEs or equivalent, with additional qualifications in logistics being advantageous.
- Prior experience in transportation logistics, administrative support, or customer service in a fast paced setting is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with drivers, customers, and team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
- Transport Manager CPC would be desirable, though not essential.
You will conduct end of shift debriefs with drivers, gathering feedback,discussing any incidents or delays, and confirming route completion. At thestart of each shift, you will brief drivers on route instructions, schedules,customer requirements, and safety protocols.
Day to day,this includes verifying driver licence validity to ensure compliance withinernal and regulatory requirements, processing delivery notes, POD documents,and associated transport paperwork accurately and within deadlines. You willrecord driver absences, escalating any patterns of concern where required, andmonitor and input non-conformance issues into the system for resolutiontracking. You will liaise closely with the wider traffic and transport planning team to address operational issues in real time, support customer serviceengagement when needed, and maintain comprehensive logs while ensuring thesecure handling of all documents and sensitive data.
