We are seeking an experienced Manual Precision Engineer (Miller & Turner) to join our engineering team. This role involves producing high‑precision components using manual milling and turning machines, working from technical drawings, reverse engineering and maintaining exacting quality standards.

• Operate manual milling and turning machines to manufacture precision components
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Set up machines, select tooling, and measure components accurately
• Work to tight tolerances and high‑quality standards
• Carry out basic machine maintenance and adjustments
• Inspect finished parts using measuring equipment (verniers, micrometres, gauges)
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to meet deadlines

• Proven experience as a Manual Miller and Turner
• Strong knowledge of manual machining techniques
• Ability to work confidently in technical/reverse engineering
• Excellent attention to detail and precision
• Competent with measuring and inspection equipment
• Understanding of workshop health & safety practices

• Time‑served apprenticeship or equivalent experience in engineering/machining
• Engineering or machining‑related qualifications (preferred but not essential)

• Full UK Driving Licence – preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive attitude
