Temporary Position
Our client, a well‑established manufacturer with over 20 years in the industry, is recognised for delivering premium, reliable products that enhance productivity, boost efficiency, and prioritise operator safety. Due to ongoing demand, they are seeking an experienced Production Assembler to join their experienced team.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare work tasks by reviewing work sheet and collecting required tools.
- Perform solder touch‑ups on circuit boards to correct issues such as voids, shorts, pinholes, cold joints, or insufficient solder, including desoldering and component removal.
- Place electronic components (through‑hole and SMT) and solder them using a soldering iron and wire solder (training provided).
- Carry out final assembly of modules using appropriate fixing hardware, wiring looms, and enclosure parts.
- Build and assemble wire harnesses to specification.
- Adhere to electrostatic discharge (ESD) handling procedures throughout all tasks.
- Confirm product accuracy by measuring and inspecting finished components against specifications.
- Escalate assembly issues to the supervisor to ensure timely resolution and additional support where needed.
- Keep equipment in working order by following manufacturer guidelines and reporting when maintenance or repairs are required.
- Maintain a clean, safe workspace by complying with all safety procedures and company policies.
- Use materials and equipment efficiently to support cost‑effective production.
- Record all actions by completing the necessary production and quality documentation.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive approach to workload.
- Excellent attention to detail, dexterity, and accuracy.
- A commitment to producing high‑quality work.
- Reliable, flexible, and eager to learn new skills.
- Experience with soldering, crimping, hand tools, and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints.
- Comfortable working with small parts – strong hand and eye coordination.
