Food Production Operator

Pay: £13.50 per hour (regular overtime available at enhanced rates)

Hours:

  • Monday‑Thursday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
  • Friday: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (flexibility required)

New opportunity! Our client is a growing, niche food manufacturer based in Corby, Northamptonshire, and they are looking for an experienced Food Production Operator to join their team.

This is a varied and hands‑on role, working across multiple departments to support production supervisors and help ensure daily production targets are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operating industrial mixing, blending, and occasional packaging machinery
  • Measuring and weighing raw ingredients accurately following recipes and SOPs
  • Maintaining strict compliance with hygiene, food safety, and quality standards
  • Completing accurate production records and batch documentation
  • Carrying out full machine clean‑downs and routine equipment checks
  • Using a Reach Forklift Truck when required
  • Packing finished goods ready for dispatch
  • Supporting team targets in a fast‑paced environment
  • Manual handling of up to 25 kg and standing for extended periods
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience in food production or food manufacturing (e.g., mixer/mixing operator, production assistant, manufacturing assistant)
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • A team‑focused attitude with strong communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, dexterity, and good eyesight
  • A passion for producing high‑quality products
  • Reliable, flexible, and willing to learn new skills
  • A valid external Reach licence required
