Health And Safety Officer

A thriving manufacturing business in Corby is looking for a proactive and dedicated Health & Safety Officer to support the Head of Health & Safety at their busy production site.

As a key member of the H&S team, you will:

• Support the Head of Health & Safety in driving and embedding a strong safety culture across the factory.
• Partner closely with Production and Engineering teams to identify, resolve, and prevent safety concerns.
• Lead and assist with investigations into incidents, near misses, and non-conformances.
• Recommend and track corrective actions, ensuring timely and effective completion.
• Conduct site audits and inspections, maintaining compliance with relevant legislation.
• Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment (food production experience highly desirable).
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• A proactive, hands‑on approach and genuine passion for workplace safety and employee wellbeing.

This role is commutable from Kettering, Northampton, Stamford, Market Harborough, Leicester, Peterborough, Rushden, Raunds and surrounding areas.
