ECHO Personnel is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) for one of our clients based in Corby. Our client is a well-established and growing packaging manufacturer, supplying high-quality corrugated cardboard and bespoke packaging solutions to businesses across the UK. As aMaintenance Engineer (Mechanical), you’ll be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing production machinery to ensure equipment runs safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
You’ll play a key role in supporting daily operations by carrying out planned preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults quickly and effectively
- Respond to machinery breakdowns to minimise production downtime
- Inspect equipment regularly to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Replace worn or damaged mechanical components as required
- Assist with machinery installations, upgrades, and improvements
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and service logs
- Work closely with production teams to support operational efficiency
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures
- Identify opportunities to improve machinery performance and reliability
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Maintenance Engineer or Mechanical Engineer role
- Relevant engineering qualifications preferred
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills
- Experience working within manufacturing, production, or industrial environments
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations
- Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively
- Reliable, proactive, and hands‑on approach
Hours:
- 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Monday to Friday
Salary:
- £45,000 per year
