Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operative to join a busy cardboard packaging company in Corby. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with manufacturing or machine operating experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating machinery, ensuring product quality, and helping maintain smooth production throughout the shift. Think cardboard, packaging, pallets flying about and someone shouting “where’s the tape gun?” at least once a day.

Duties & Responsibilities

* Operating and monitoring cardboard packaging machinery

* Setting up machines for production runs

* Feeding materials into machines safely and efficiently

* Checking finished products for quality and accuracy

* Packing and stacking products ready for dispatch

* Carrying out basic machine adjustments where required

* Reporting faults or breakdowns to supervisors/maintenance

* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

* Following all health & safety procedures at all times

Requirements

* Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience preferred

* Good attention to detail

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

* Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

* Able to work independently and as part of a team

* Physically fit due to manual handling duties
