We're looking for a skilled and detail driven Control Panel Builders to join our clients engineering team. Our client are a company with over 20 year's experience producing premium, durable products that help customers work smarter, safer, and more efficiently.

• Build and wire electrical control panels to industry standards (e.g., IEC/BS EN).
• Build control panels consisting of anywhere between 5 and 50 cables.
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
• Assemble components including PLCs, relays, contractors, drives, and terminal blocks.
• Carry out panel testing, fault‑finding, and quality checks before dispatch.
• Ensure all work meets safety, compliance, and customer specification requirements.
• Housekeeping of workshop area, ensuring all H&S regulations are always adhered to.

• Relevant electrical qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, etc.).
• Proven experience as a Control Panel Builder, Electrical Technician, or similar role.
• Have previously worked within an electrical engineering role (industrial electrics not residential).
• Experience with PLC wiring and automation systems.
• Knowledge of control system commissioning would be advantageous.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
• Confident with panel wiring, cable routing, and component layout.
• Understanding of electrical safety standards and best practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing clean, well‑organised panels.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Good team player with a positive, proactive attitude to workload and comfortable working to schedules.
• Passion to produce high quality products.
• Reliable and flexible approach to work, with a keen willingness to learn and develop new skills.
