Buyer (Technical Manufacturing) – £38,000 - £46,000 + 10% Bonus. Progression, Training, Enhanced Holidays, Healthcare Plan, Corby.

Are you an experienced buyer from a technical manufacturing setting looking to join a leading company that manufactures highly technical precision equipment? We are a world leader in high performance cable assemblies for aerospace and defence industries. The company, established over five decades ago, employs over 1,200 people worldwide and places quality at the core of our operations.

• Procurement of components and finished goods in a timely, cost-effective and correct manner.
• Procurement of non-production materials, equipment, machinery and consumables in a timely, cost-effective manner.
• Sourcing new suppliers as desirable or necessary.
• Design, implementation and maintenance of a Vendor Management Programme.
• Liaising with the Production Manager to ensure efficient provision of materials and provide correct delivery times to customers and delivery information to Sales.
• Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information.
• Maintain purchasing databases/ERP parameters to ensure efficient material flow.

• Working knowledge of purchasing techniques.
• Proven track record of cost savings and process improvement.
• Strong understanding of purchasing in a manufacturing environment.

The role reports directly to the Managing Director.

The salary advertised is a guideline for this position. The offered remuneration will be dependent on the extent of your experience, qualifications, and skill set.
