Are you an experienced Buyer from a technical manufacturing setting, looking to join a leading company that manufactures highly technical precision equipment? Do you have experience in purchasing in a manufacturing environment and you're looking to develop your career with a world leader in its industry? The company has established over five decades ago and employs over 1,200 people globally. Supplying primarily into the aerospace and defence industries, the company manufactures high performance cable assemblies with quality as their central focus.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the timely, correct and cost‑efficient provision of materials for manufacturing, re-sale and non-production items, ensuring On Time Delivery to Customers is maintained.

• Procurement of components and finished goods in a timely, cost effective and correct manner
• Procurement of non-production materials, equipment, machinery and consumables in a timely, cost‑effective manner
• Sourcing new suppliers as desirable or necessary
• Design, implementation and maintenance of Vendor Management Programme
• Liaising with Production Manager to ensure efficient provision of materials and provide correct delivery times to customers and delivery information to Sales
• Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information
• Maintain purchasing databases/ERP parameters to ensure efficient material flow

• Working knowledge of Purchasing techniques and proven track record of cost savings and process improvement
