Trainee Paint Technician

Location:

Corby, Northamptonshire
Salary:  £12.71 per hour (negotiable depending on experience)
Job Type:  Full-time, Temp to Perm Opportunity

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Occasional evenings and weekends required
30-minute unpaid lunch break plus two 15-minute paid tea breaks

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Paint Technician on behalf of a well-established and growing client within the coatings industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in a hands-on, technical role.
The successful candidate will be involved in colour matching and producing customer-specific coatings for a variety of materials including wood, plastic, and glass. This role requires precision, focus, and a strong understanding of mathematics.

Key Responsibilities
Mix, tint and adjust paints in line with customer specifications and internal formulas
Accurately follow processes and complete orders within required time frames
Maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail
Complete all mandatory training
Ensure work areas are clean, organised, and safe

Requirements
Good understanding of mathematics (essential)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to lift up to 25kg independently
Good level of literacy and numeracy
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong work ethic and professional attitude
Basic IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office
Right to work in the UK

Numeracy and literacy testing will be conducted at interview stage.
