Are you an experienced Quality Engineer looking to join a growing precision engineering manufacturer supplying highly regulated industries? This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving quality standards across a modern manufacturing environment. You'll work closely with customers, suppliers and production teams, supporting complex engineering projects and driving quality improvement initiatives. The business has a strong reputation for delivering high-precision components and continues to invest in its manufacturing and inspection capabilities, including advanced CMM technology.
This position would suit a proactive Quality Engineer with a mechanical engineering background, strong inspection knowledge and experience working within a precision manufacturing environment.
- Manage customer and supplier quality issues, non-conformances and complaints using 8D and 5 Why methodologies
- Conduct system, process and supplier audits while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business
- Produce inspection reports, quality documentation, quality control plans and manufacturing instructions from customer requirements
- Experienced Quality Engineer with at least 5 years' experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of inspection techniques, engineering drawings and quality reporting, with the ability to train and support others
- Mechanical engineering background, with CMM programming, PC-DMIS and ISO 9001 auditing experience advantageous
