Job Opportunity: Vehicle Book In Operative (X3)
Location: Corby
Employment Type: Temporary
Working Shift Patterns: Monday to Friday 06:00am - 15:00pm Saturdays 06:00 - 12:00 (Shift open to discussion)
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Our client is a prominent leader in the field of automotive logistics and remarketing solutions. We have an opportunity to work with one of the largest UK online retailers. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vehicle Book In Operative to join our client's team to receive vehicles arriving on site, complete booking-in procedures, carry out a 2-by-2 condition inspection, and ensure all vehicle information is accurately recorded within company systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Receive vehicles arriving on site and direct drivers to the appropriate unloading area.
- Complete vehicle booking-in procedures accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Carry out a full 2-by-2 vehicle inspection, checking all four sides of the vehicle for damage, defects, missing items, and general condition.
- Record damage and vehicle condition using company systems and handheld devices.
- Verify vehicle details, registration numbers, mileage, fuel levels, and vehicle specification.
- Liaise with transport drivers, Self-Collect drivers.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail when recording vehicle information.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and site rules.
- Support operational activities as required by the Yard Manager
- Ability to identify vehicle damage and defects.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and confidence using handheld devices or mobile applications.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively.
Experience:
- Full UK or EU Driving Licence.
- Previous automotive, vehicle inspection, transport, or yard experience is desirable but not essential.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Professional and customer-focused.
- Organised and methodical.
- Safety conscious.
- Flexible and willing to support operational requirements.
