Senior Psychiatrist (Supervisor), C&RS (Safety) – Substance Abuse Treatment Facility
Join to apply for the Senior Psychiatrist (Supervisor) role at California Correctional Health Care Services. This position is located at the Substance Abuse Treatment Facility in Corcoran, CA.
Pay range: $48,533.00 – $ for full‑time employment.
Responsibilities:
- Under the general direction of the Chief Psychiatrist and with close consultation of the Statewide Chief Psychiatrist, develop, oversee, and direct the quality and operations of Physician Services within psychiatry for individuals housed at the Substance Abuse Treatment Facility.
- Develop and implement treatment protocols for substance abuse and psychiatric care. Provide direct patient care and supervise clinic staff.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community partners for rehabilitation and reentry.
- Ensure compliance with CDCR and CCHCS policies and reporting requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- M.D. or D.O. with certification in psychiatry.
- Current California medical license with unrestricted status.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in correctional psychiatry or related settings.
- Excellent communication and supervisory skills.
- Proficiency in electronic health records and legal documentation.
