Medical Assistant, CF – Substance Abuse Treatment Facility – Corcoran

California Correctional Health Care Services is hiring a Medical Assistant to support primary care providers in the Substance Abuse Treatment Facility in Corcoran, CA.

Base pay: $4,556–$5,175.
Additional benefits may include a $10,000 one‑time recruitment stipend and a monthly differential totaling $5,000 for the first year of employment.

• Assist the Supervising Registered Nurse, physician, and other health professionals under clinical supervision.
• Perform patient‑oriented procedures and support the Primary Care Team with clinic operations.
• Communicate effectively with patients and health‑care team members.
• Handle administrative tasks and promote efficient, cost‑effective use of health‑care resources.

• Valid Medical Assistant certification from a California Department of Consumer Affairs approved agency.
• Active certification status at appointment.
• Certification issued by one of the following agencies:
  - American Association of Medical Assistants
  - American Medical Certification Association
  - American Medical Technologists
  - California Certifying Board of Medical Assistants
  - Multi‑skilled Medical Certification Institute, Inc.

Training and Development (T&D) assignment will not be considered at this time.
