Pay RangeBase pay: $884.60 to $1,004.80 monthly for 20% FTE (8 hours/week). The classification HAM rate is $911.20 - $1,035.00.
Job Description & DutiesUnder the supervision of the Supervising Registered Nurse II/III and clinical supervision of a physician and surgeon, the Medical Assistant provides support to primary care providers in various clinical settings. The MA performs patient‑oriented procedures, supports the Primary Care Team in daily clinic operations, communicates with patients and healthcare team members, and performs administrative duties. The MA addresses ongoing patient needs, works with physicians and other healthcare providers, and promotes efficient, appropriate, and cost‑effective use of health care resources.
Responsibilities- Perform patient‑oriented procedures under clinical direction.
- Support the primary care team in daily clinic operations.
- Communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Perform administrative duties and maintain patient documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to address patient needs.
- Possession of a valid certificate approved by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Medical Board of California to practice as a Medical Assistant.
- Active certification status prior to appointment.
- Board‑approved certification from one of the following organizations:
- American Association of Medical Assistants
- American Medical Certification Association
- American Medical Technologists
- California Certifying Board of Medical Assistants
- Multi‑skilled Medical Certification Institute, Inc.
