Minimum QualificationsUnder the general direction of the Sr. Psychologist, Supv/Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker I, the Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) works in Mental Health Services. The MFT diagnoses and treats mental and emotional disorders within the context of marriage, couples and family systems, the scope of the applicable Business and Professions Code(s), and license. Incumbents shall refer incarcerated patients to other licensed health care professionals in accordance with standardized procedures.
Education:
Completion of a master s degree program from an accredited school for Marriage and Family Therapy, that meets the requirements stipulated in Business and Professional Code 4980.36.
Licensure:
Possession of a valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science.

A Training and Development (T&D) assignment will not be considered at this time.

Salary and Benefits InformationEffective July 1, 2025, PLP 2025 requires base salary reductions for certain employees with corresponding leave credits through June 2027. Salaries do not reflect these changes. Part-time employees are subject to the same conditions on a prorated basis. Permanent intermittent employees are subject to the same condition as full-time employees, based on hours worked.
