SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Before/After-School Certified Tutor is responsible for providing professional instruction designed to support academic, social, physical, and skill development for students in specific grades/subject areas to prepare them to be successful citizens and workers.
Minimum QualificationsGraduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's Degree, or two (2) years of college (minimum of 48 semester hours) from an accredited institution, or a passing score on the Para Pro Assessment Test, and one (1) year of experience working with children in an educational setting preferred. Must possess or be able to obtain certification in CPR and First Aid.
(PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED)
Degree Equivalency Formula: Bachelor’s Degree = 4 years plus required years of experience. Master’s Degree = 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master’s degrees are required, years for Bachelor’s Degrees must be included.
