Prepares and posts general ledger entries. Reconcile general ledger accounts. Print a file copy of General Ledger. Maintain detailed records of property, plant and equipment, including depreciation schedule and construction in progress logs. Maintain detailed records of employee garnishments. Maintain daily cash report, make transfers between bank accounts, and transmit electronic payments for payroll taxes, retirement, and others as required. Work with outside accountants in preparation of audits, Medicare cost reports, information returns and tax returns.

Submit W-9 forms as requested. Other duties as assigned to support the accounting and record keeping functions for MRHC.

Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university preferred. In lieu of a degree, four years of relevant experience.

Two years in general accounting preferred.

Computer skills including, but not limited to Excel.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the hospital.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized
