Supervisor- 2nd Shift; Walnut, MS

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our client’s manufacturing team in Walnut, Mississippi. This role oversees daily operations of the 2nd shift to ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with quality standards. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong background in manufacturing processes and team supervision.

• Ensure all customer requirements and quality expectations are met or exceeded.
• Lead and train production staff in processes, procedures, and quality controls.
• Maintain and enforce safety, quality, and operational standards throughout the facility.
• Track and report key production metrics including Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
• Supervise, coach, and evaluate production team members while maintaining accountability.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of plant equipment and systems.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve production issues and non-conformities.
• Analyze data and prepare reports to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions when metrics fall below expectations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with support groups to ensure adequate resources.
• Communicate effectively across shifts to maintain consistent operations.
• Assist the Operations Manager during absences or special projects.

• 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to lead by example and promote a culture of safety and accountability.
• Ability to work flexible hours and manage multiple priorities.
