Technical Solutions Manager – Paint & Coatings Application Laboratory

We are seeking an experienced Technical Solutions “Application Laboratory Manager” to oversee the CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, Elastomers) portfolio, with a particular focus on the "
Paint & Coatings segment
", for a leading Turkish chemical manufacturing company with strong technical expertise and manufacturing capabilities.

The role will be responsible for working closely with customers on product development processes and real‑world application challenges, evaluating the performance of specialty chemical raw materials and resins for the Paint & Coatings industry, and translating technical findings into meaningful customer value. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing appropriate test methods and will actively contribute to shaping and expanding a newly established application laboratory.

• Holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field; a PhD is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the Paint & Coatings industry.
• Solid experience in paint formulation and application testing.
• Experience in Design of Experiments (DoE); experience with computational AI tools is preferred.
• Strong interest and capabilities in technical research, exploration, and problem‑solving.
• Customer-oriented mindset and willingness to actively participate in customer visits and technical discussions.
• Ability to effectively connect technical findings with commercial and application‑related needs.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with Sales, Product Management, and Technical teams.
• Based in Çorlu or willing to live in or relocate to the surrounding area.
• Good command of English.

• Manage the operations and development of the Paint & Coatings application and performance laboratory.
• Design and implement application and performance testing methods specific to the Paint & Coatings industry.
• Conduct formulation studies and Design of Experiments (DoE) to evaluate the performance of additives and resins.
• Develop application data and technical demonstrations to support customer value propositions.
• Contribute to color and formulation R&D activities by leveraging computational AI tools.
• Work closely with Sales, Product Management, and Technical teams to ensure alignment between customer needs and laboratory activities.
• Support customer visits and technical meetings, translating laboratory results into clear, understandable, and actionable technical insights.
• Contribute to the continuous development and expansion of the new application laboratory and its technical capabilities.
• Ensure that laboratory activities are conducted in accordance with structured experimental design and scientific best practices, while also leveraging computational AI tools where appropriate.
