The Business Development Associate is a core part of Hirschfeld’s New Business engine. This role supports opportunities from first conversation through proposal delivery and handoff, helping ensure we pursue the right work and show up with smart, executable ideas. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organizing complex information, collaborating across disciplines, and contributing to winning work in a fast-paced agency environment.
You’ll serve as the operational hub of the business development function, managing CRM workflows, supporting client discovery, coordinating internal inputs, and helping bring compelling, executable pitches to life. The role balances strategic exposure with hands‑on execution and offers meaningful growth for someone looking to build a career in agency business development.
The ideal candidate will be a self‑starter with excellent interpersonal, communication, and process management skills, as well as a strong writing background. They are able to work as part of a cohesive team and will need to engage with internal Hirschfeld divisions, client partners, prospects and vendors.

RESPONSIBILITIES- Own CRM (Hub Spot) data integrity, including pipeline tracking, activity logging, and reporting
- Manage timelines, next steps, and deliverables for new business growth operations, ensuring clarity on owners, deadlines, and decisions
- Maintain business development scorecards and support KPI tracking
- Participate in client discovery calls to understand needs, assess fit, and capture insights
- Coordinate cross‑functional inputs from fabrication, creative, and client services to ensure feasibility and alignment
- Support development of pitch decks and proposals that reflect Hirschfeld’s brand and capabilities
- Assist with preliminary budget development during the proposal phase
- Build and maintain a centralized library of case studies, credentials, and industry inspiration
- Conduct market and trend research to inform proposal strategy and competitive positioning
- Facilitate internal working sessions to support pitch development and decision‑making
Post-Win Support
- Coordinate smooth handoff of won business to Client Services and project teams
Occasional Support
- Provide onsite support at select client events or presentations, as needed
- 2–4 years in a business development, marketing, or agency support role
- Experiential marketing experience preferred, but not required
- Hands‑on experience with CRM platforms (Hub Spot preferred)
- Highly motivated, team‑oriented, and proactive, with a positive attitude and a solutions‑driven mindset in fast‑paced environments
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Clear communicator with confidence in both client‑facing and internal settings
- Detail‑oriented with a strong sense of follow‑through
- Working understanding of integrated marketing programs (experiential, retail, digital, and traditional)
- Willingness to travel periodically for meetings or events
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, with the ability to create clear documents, reports, and presentations
