Kids Club Associate

Overview

The Kids Club Associate provides primary care for infants, facilitates independent and group activities for toddlers, and supervises older children in a designated area of the gym. The primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of all children in Kids Club care.

Responsibilities

• Cares for children in a designated area of the gym for attending members.
• Organizes and participates in recreational activities such as games.
• Reads to children and teaches simple painting, drawing, crafts, and songs.
• Provides care for children with special needs as required, including securing children in equipment like chairs and slings.
• Organizes and maintains toys and materials to ensure order in the Kids Club area.
• Portrays a fun and energetic demeanor.
• Sanitizes toys and play equipment, and completes the daily cleaning checklist.
• Assists in planning age-appropriate activities weekly.
• Completes all necessary paperwork as required.
• Attends all staff meetings.
• Pages parent/guardian if necessary to address discipline issues or attend to personal needs (e.g., diaper changing, changing clothes, restroom assistance).
• Ensures parents adhere to Kids Club policies and signs children in and out of the facility.
• Verifies safety during child drop-off and pick-up using the Parental
  -in process.
• Maintains a strict no-food or drinks policy in Kids Club.
• Maintains accountability for children at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-3 years of childcare experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Infant and Child First Aid and CPR certification.
