The Certified Veterinary Technician title is used in various states based on state-specific licensing and credentialing requirements. Responsibilities may vary depending on the hospital and/or state and will be outlined by the state’s Veterinary Practice Act and/or the responsible veterinarian, where applicable.
Bedrock Veterinary Specialists is searching for a responsible, dedicated, hardworking and friendly Surgical Scrub Technician/ Nurse who is interested in being part of a fast-paced Veterinary Specialty Surgery Center. This position will involve assisting our anesthesia team in preparing patients for surgery, opening sterile supplies and instruments in the O.R., positioning and draping of surgery patients, helping with pack prep duties (cleaning instruments, rewrapping surgical packs, etc.),
and most importantly scrubbing in with our surgeons and assisting them in surgery. If you are a scrub nurse in the human medical field, or have equivalent operating room experience who has been specifically trained in surgery and are looking to take the next step in your career, we want to meet you! This position calls for an experienced surgical scrub nurse to directly support our board-certified surgeons in the operating theater.

- Scrub nurse or surgery assistant from human medicine, RVT, LVT or equivalent experience
- Scrubbing into surgical procedures and assisting surgeons in the operating room
- Familiarity with sterile fields and O.R. protocols
- Strong interpersonal skills to kindly and effectively interface with our team
