Overview

JEWELRY/SALES SPECIALIST - Seasonal at Kroger Mountain View Foods. Fred Meyer Jewelers sales professionals provide a welcoming, friendly, and uplifting shopping experience while achieving personal sales targets and delivering a high-quality customer experience.

• Model Customer 1st behavior; deliver and encourage others to deliver excellent customer service
• Achieve personal sales targets and drive sales (e.g., credit applications and protection plan attachment rates)
• Promote Diamond Parties and special events with every customer
• Collaborate with teammates to meet store goals and create a positive working atmosphere
• Foster life-long emotional connections with customers by clienteling
• Provide product knowledge, features and benefits to customers when presenting merchandise
• Advise customers on quality, cuts, and value of jewelry and assist in selecting mounts/settings
• Attend required monthly meetings
• Operate point of sale (POS) and process payments or obtain credit authorization
• Inspect and clean customers’ jewelry
• Provide estimates for jewelry and watch repairs
• Perform watch battery replacements and watch band adjustments
• Follow receiving and processing procedures
• Display merchandise and promotional materials per corporate merchandising plans
• Perform opening and closing procedures as outlined in policy and procedures
• Maintain basic housekeeping (cleaning display surfaces, merchandise, and windows)
• Maintain safety and security by following Loss Prevention and Security procedures
• Participate in the inventory process and complete case counts
• Maintain flexibility to work any shift, including weekends, holidays, and overtime

• Sales, retail and/or jewelry experience

Minimum Position Qualifications/

Education:

• High school diploma or GED
• Commitment to excellence, desire to grow and provide a refreshing shopping experience
• Goal oriented and sales driven with a passion to succeed
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Ability to pass drug test
• Maintain confidentiality
• Accuracy/attention to detail
