Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly.
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the check lane.
• Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers, following company policies.
• Adhere to company limits on cash shortages and overages, working honestly to control loss.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
• Report pricing discrepancies and stay updated on current promotions and ads.
• Comply with food safety and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a welcoming environment by assisting customers with product questions.
• Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflicts professionally and act with honesty and integrity.
• Support and assist diverse customer needs, including minors, individuals with disabilities, and seniors.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience.
• Effective communication skills.
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).

Desired Previous Job Experience

• Customer service experience.
• Experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.
