Job Overview

As an Instructional Resource Teacher (IRT), you will support a diverse range of learners by developing and delivering individualized programming. Your work will focus on meeting the unique needs of students through enrichment, academic intervention, social-emotional development, and the building of accessibility and adaptive skills.

  • Plan and implement effective and responsive teaching and learning practices.

  • Creation of learning environment encouraging positive social interaction, active engagement, independence and self-motivation.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Education.
  • Bachelor of Special Education or equivalency.
  • NL Teaching Certificate – Level IV or higher.
  • Equivalencies will be considered.
Benefits

Annual teacher salary scale and benefits are contained in the NLTA Provincial Collective Agreement.
