Full time, 24/7 operation with occasional shift requirements to cover work outside of standard daytime working hours. Available for overtime.

• Install, troubleshoot, and modify transmission equipment, satellite communication systems, and facilities ensuring their proper operating condition.
• Align, test, and configure equipment and systems, including related software, to obtain optimal performance or identify existing or potential problems.
• Perform and document repairs and regular preventive maintenance procedures according to established procedures and corporate standards.
• Develop quality control procedures, prepare and correct documents, schematics, functional drawings, specification tables, and layout diagrams.
• Contact suppliers for equipment, services or advice, and operate motor vehicles.
• Guide development and assist in training of other employees, contribute ideas, and make recommendations to overcome problems or achieve desired results.
• Maintain complete transmitter sites, including buildings, grounds, and roads; troubleshoot and maintain other equipment associated with remote transmitter sites; travel to remote locations under short notice and difficult conditions and work on satellite dishes.

• At least a two (2)-year Post-Secondary technologist diploma from a recognized college in an appropriate discipline or its equivalent.
• Practical and relevant experience considered an asset.
• Overall general knowledge regarding maintenance of equipment, systems, and relevant software technologies.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting CBC/Radio-Canada insurance requirements.
• Frequent travel may be required, including long distance trips.
• Ability to travel and work alone at remote locations under difficult conditions.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Problem solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, initiative, conscientious, reliable, and autonomous.
• Work under minimum supervision and in a team environment.
• Available for overtime.
• Work in a 24/7 operation with occasional shift requirements.
