Advanced Care Paramedic

Position: Full-Time Advanced Care Paramedic Role
Make a difference as a Full-Time Advanced Care Paramedic at the James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre. This position emphasizes emergency response and advanced medical care.

As an ACP, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Virtual ER model, responding effectively in rural settings. This includes performing assessments, independent interventions, and collaborating with facility teams. You’ll also mentor paramedicine students and contribute to patient-centered practices while ensuring everyone’s safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced medical care at emergency scenes

• Conduct independent assessments and initiate interventions

• Assist the Emergency Department and Code Response teams

• Mentor students and lead in paramedicine education

• Identify risks and implement improvements for safety

Requirements:

• Graduate from an Advanced Care Paramedic program

• Hold current BLS and OPMD certifications

• Registration as an ACP with the NL Paramedicine Regulation

• Valid Class 4 Driver's License

• Maintain physical capability through testing
