Home Support Worker

Position: Home Support Worker at Brightisle
Become a Home Support Worker with Brightisle and provide essential care to clients in Newfoundland and Labrador. This role focuses on personal care, companionship, and supporting independence at home.

As part of the Care Givers program within Brightisle, you'll report to the Client Care Coordinator and assist clients during times of illness or disability. Essential skills include personal care, meal preparation, and emotional support for clients and families.

Your role ensures clients maintain their independence and receive safe, dependable care in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care including bathing and grooming

• Assist with meal preparation and household tasks

• Offer companionship and transport clients to activities

• Document client progress and follow care plans

• Ensure a safe living environment and report hazards

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education or home support certification

• Clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check

• Experience with seniors or persons with disabilities

• Current First Aid certification or willingness to obtain

• Ability to work flexible shifts in various locations
