Hourly commitment:
At least 24 hours a year
Support the work of St John Ambulance in your community by volunteering as a Community Volunteer, a flexible and innovative role open to all.
The Community Volunteer can choose from a wide range of activities, including fundraising, talks and demonstrations, event support, volunteer welfare, social media, and administrative support. The role is designed to help you make a difference, support community resilience, and spread the message that First Aid Saves Lives.
Responsibilities- Deliver talks and demonstrations
- Coordinate community roadshows
- Support national campaigns
- Count and bank money at events
- Book and coordinate events
- Support volunteer networks
- Provide administrative support
- Write thank‑you and community letters
- Manage media and social media content
- Create community news and network newsletters
- Passion for helping others and supporting community resilience
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Availability to commit at least 24 hours per year, on a flexible schedule
- Subject to a DBS check and completion of required online courses
Once selected, you will receive an induction and any required training sessions. We provide a supportive environment to help you succeed in your role.
