Responsibilities

• Washing, cleaning, and sanitising all kitchen utensils, equipment, and surfaces to uphold hygiene standards
• Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and garnishing ingredients
• Ensuring all areas of the kitchen are kept clean and organised throughout the shift
• Supporting the storage of ingredients and supplies in accordance with health and safety regulations
• Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in line with company policies
• Restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times to maintain a safe working environment for all staff

Experience

• Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
• Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, or culinary skills is advantageous
• Experience working in a busy kitchen or restaurant setting is a plus
• Familiarity with health and safety standards within a food service environment is beneficial
• A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop within the hospitality sector
