Field Sales Agent – Cornwall

Field Sales Agent is responsible for selling Wildanet’s internet service and related products across Cornwall, with occasional travel to Devon.

Salary: £28,500 plus £5,500 car allowance per annum, and OTE commission of £12,000 per year (to be discussed further at interview).
Location: Liskeard Office and travel primarily across Cornwall with some in Devon on occasion.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of the Field Sales Agent is to secure the company’s growth through selling Wildanet’s internet service and associated products to potential future customers.

Main Responsibilities

The Field Sales Agent is responsible for contributing to the wider team’s objectives and delivering their individual sales targets through cold calling at consumers’ homes. This includes upselling to higher sales packages, selling value-added services and serving as the face of the Wildanet brand.

Key Activities
  • Cold calling at customers’ home addresses throughout Cornwall and Devon to encourage individuals to join our quality service.
  • Creating and nurturing your own lead pipeline through meaningful conversations with customers.
  • Answering customer questions about the features and benefits of our products and services.
  • Updating and maintaining records and customer requirements through an automated sales system.
  • Taking customer bookings for installations.
  • Attending sales events across Cornwall and Devon.
  • Participating in team meetings and training sessions.
Person Specification Knowledge
  • Basic IT skills with confidence to learn new systems.
  • General understanding of the broadband market and products (full training will be given).
Skills/Attributes
  • Drive for success and exceeding set targets.
  • A high level of self-motivation and resilience.
  • Ability to overcome customer objections.
  • Customer-centric, proactively creating a positive experience for the customer.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Confidence speaking to customers to build relationships, identifying their needs through conversation.
Experience
  • Previous sales experience is an advantage.
  • Experience working in a target-driven environment where performance is measured on secured sales.
Qualifications
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English.
  • Driving license and access to own vehicle is essential.
Circumstances
  • This role will primarily involve travelling throughout Cornwall and occasionally Devon.
  • There may be situations where you encounter resistance and rejection from customers.
  • Exposure to all weather conditions due to significant outside sales activity.
  • Working pattern from 11 am to 7 pm, including weekends and later evenings, on a rota system. Part-time hours can also be provided to suit personal commitments.
