The Process Optimization Student’s purpose is to assist in developing, configuring and optimizing industrial processes related to cheese production. The student works closely with the Production Manager, Processing and Technical Manager, Processing to evaluate, take measurements and interpret data to improve processes.

• Work closely with production team to help in optimizing processing procedures.
• Help to develop Standard Operating Procedures for processing operations.
• Improve processes in place in regard to Cheese making, 640 lines (bottleneck identification and improvement), Improvement in the documentation and project implementation (Optimizing data, statistical analysis), Drainer and Salter parameters validation and Verification (Fines generation, whey losses), to create more efficiencies.
• Setting up a KPI dashboard for the Cheese make department.
• Establishing and verifying standards for cheese make

• Pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Food science, Bio Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, or a related field of study
• Good knowledge of Excel Spreadsheets
• Understanding of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) is an asset
• Basic understanding of processing procedures
• Manufacturing experience is an asset
• Process improvement focused
• Proven attention to details but also able to see the big picture
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision‑making skills
• Good communicator, listener and presenter
• Ability to adapt to changing culture/environments
